    SORRY! I meant the basketball fix, no really..
    mine is getting tough to shift too, might be a hd shifter bushing fix too.

    the green bushing i had in my hand, had a black o-ring on the bottom so i removed the o-ring now its shifts fine dont know about fifth gear, haven't tried it

    After searching, found this, might help...
    Marlin Crawler
    think I will order a new bushing/seat and give it a try.

    also brian894x4.com shifter bushing seat replace....
