haha. yeah, even if we just have a common info layout one way or another, all we have to do is tell them to read that and have a mod lock the post. then it will disappear.

    Better idea:

Make all noobs read a FAQ document *before* they are allowed to post. Then give them a questionaire (where they may use their notes) that they have to score a 78 or higher out of a 100 to allow posting. Or even make a noob category that makes them have to get above a 100 posts before they may post in the other categories. Then they can get the noob questions out long before they muck up the forum!

 Just kidding... We were all noobs once...

Exactly. If we make it all complicated, nobody will want to join. Or they will post useless things like faces or laughing to get their count up. And that just wastes bandwidth. And if all this talking about needing mods gets anything done, the new mods can clean up all the jabber to reduce space used on the servers. I dont care if it makes peoples post total go down or not. :D

i honestly have no interest in moderating. i already have to run my site, and i moderate the minitruckin mag forum. too much crap to do..:)

and i haven't polished any dents out in months. haven't even drove the truck in about a month. too damn hot here already!

Hey, I just had a thought. Who the crap is NEWSBOT, and why is he/she the only mod we have? I don't care what toyota does with their new stuff. I like their old stuff anyways. Lol. Think he can tell the man in charge to help us out a bit??

    Still alive!

Well, long story short I am still around. I had some personal issues going on and was totally unable to reply, log on, etc. I have everything straightened out and am available to be on the site alote more. Totally miss working with all the guys and few gals around here. But heres the  I guess for some reason or other I no longer a MOD. Well I guess a email or something would have been nice, but, hey no biggy. I more into the trucks than assuming or guessing. Have been around here for some time and love this site with all my heart, just kinda bummed I was kicked to the curb apparently. But hey, lets move on, lets get someone around here whos up to the task. Being that Bernie has knowledge of Mods and stuff he knows the ups and downs. Wish nothing but the best for this site. Guess Ill stick to being a " donating member " with a fancy gold name. Soo . . . whatevers going on, we need a mod who can communicate to the people 24/7, would still like to see 3 " ACTIVE " mods who can get in touch with whomever is still overseeing the site ( sure its still Jeff ) and I wish them the very best of luck :)

damn man! nice to see you back in action! :clapping:

mod or not, nice to see you'll be able to be part of the forum again.

agreed though........ we need a moderating team in order not so much to moderate the site in terms of discipline but just the site needs a good cleaning up and organized postings.

odd you were dropped as a mod though..... last i had seen you were still a mod not so long ago, this must have been recent

Well nice to hear that your back. Since intros are in order.... I am tom been on for a few weeks and have a few posts under my sleeve. I have read through the old posts and they were good from what I could see you knew your stuff. I wondered how you got the gold name.... you saved me asking.

I have said in an earlier post that basically anyone thats over 1000 posts have my vote. Thanks, Tom aka smartmonkey

( Without being totally off thread ) - and still a lil focused towards site improvement. You can find the " paid subscriptions " in your user CP. It costs you 24$ a year and you get increased mailbox storage. A gold colored user name, and I guess coming soon, discounts and T.M. store items. And - " nice to meet you - thanks for the kind words " I live, learn, and pass it along so everyone has the info " . . .
