In the pic the shock is about 1/4" from full compression. When installing this kit I put the suspension in the lowest position it can go, completely bottomed out. Then I will compress the shock till the shock is just about bottomed out 1/4" or so. Then I securely tack the mounts in place and put the suspension through the full length of travel to ensure proper clearance of all moving parts. Then weld her up. The shock and mount combination is designed so you can run a shock and still get full advantage of the extra travel provided by the arms.
Ya I'm running cando arms an I'm gonna have to get a smaller booster on 18s with 205/40/18 bd 2.75" 1.5" Z
Ok, thanks On another note, you should build a thread to showcase "Supra Toy" and all your other builds.
Anyone else have a pita time try to get the lower ball joint screwed fully in on these cando arms? Bout the last 5-6 threads were a pain
Mine go in easy. Make sure you put antiseize on the bolt that holds the lower a arm on or next tike you take it off it'll need to be cut out like mine
Oh yea I put anti seize on the lower bolts.. hmm yea I dont remember if the lower ball joints were a bit tough or not to get in on the last set of arms from cando arms I had.. that was 3 yrs ago.. I got em em.. it felt like they wer cross threaded, but I took em out 3 times to check amd they were cross threaded at all so idk...
I have the same problem too. How did you fix it? Seem like the is not enough threads because the castle nut bottoms out before it tightens to the spindle.
Washers. You need washers. Those ball joints are for a different vehicle all together, have to make them work.
