I've been playing with different setups on my bumper lights with different covers and bulbs, and found one that I think works quite well. It uses clear lenses, but a switchback LED that has both amber and white LEDs on it. By hooking up the white to the old corner light wires, and the amber to the turn signal circuit I have white with the first click of my light knob, but when I put my blinkers on, they switch to a blinking amber. One of these nights I will try to get a picture of it, for now here is a step by step on how I did the conversion: The first step is to remove the old light socket from the housing. One of mine was really tight in there, the other was tight, but not too bad to remove. The socket has the power wire, and the ground comes out of another hole next to it. The old socket had only 2 wires, but the new LED switchback requires 3, so a new socket with 2 pinouts in the middle is switched out. New bulb and soket on the right They are a bit large, but they work Now that there are 3 wires, I installed a new 3 wire connector: And installed as well as clear corners, it all looks nice and clean:
