did that 84-88 xtra give you a hard time to put on the single cab chassis??

Its pretty easy to do just move the cab mounts.both trucks Knucklehead posted look good.Bobbing off the back of the first one might look good too, just keep it small.

love both the single rear bob look and the double bob of a xtracab on a single cab chassis...

I'm thinking about chopping it about 2.5 to 3" to help with the look. It currently has been sitting for a few years with no firewall or floor. Could someone please photo chop it for me.

ok so here is a really bad paintshop job on a couple of photos I stole off the net...

since an xtracab on this gen truck is so much bigger is would reach the wheel well on a standard cab frame...
I want to use just half of the xtracab
So...my plan is to get a back cut off an xtracab and weld it onto my standard cab with a double bob bed...

    something like this...

I think this truck is amazing. I didnt even think about bobbing a mini.

I kinda like the look of a mini. Definitely something to think about.

i think you guys are looking at bobbing a short bed. correct? but i think bobbing a mini is a killer idea! although i havent put too much thought into a short bed. Somewhere theres info on this truck (unfortunately not a toyota but it brought an idea to me that i really want to make a truck out of)

Its a Datsun 620 longbed, the was bobbed quite a bit off the tail. But aside from being rediculously low, like it is, the really big bob, helps make the truck more proportional, but since the front is still left long keeps it in the ratrod style vehicle, with the wheels what look to be really far back.

Its been sectoined 2", chopped 4" door'd, and all said and done the truck only stands 39" tall. but actually in the description it says is a 10" bob. And i really like the style of this truck, and I think bobbing a mini is an awesome idea!
