Been a minute but the truck is up nd running. Delta cam sounds nice, performs well and got the weber 34/34 dialed in.

 

Ask your can see the starions are on and looking good. Newd to flare the rear off the bed after new rubber comes in so I can go lower.

 

And finally most recently, decided to dig into the front of the truck and its been half ass fixed. So off comes the entire front end very soon....

 

This is nice! Keep it up! These 84-88 pickups are growing on me!

bored outta my mind and since the last meet/cruise in of the year doesnt look like itll happen i decided to take care of my slightly mushed front end.



and here is what was hiding under some sorry ass welding... so sorry infact i swear it was possibly solder instead. broke most of it with a hammer & flathead.



then of course one of the radiator support bolts is rusted and bent...



after a little time with the sawzall it was gone. as was the beat to hell inner fender after time with the cutoff wheel.



and the passenger side is now gone as well.





now i just need to find a radiator support that comes as a whole piece. lately ive only found them in pieces. ( left, right and the top brace where the hood latch goes ) doesnt help im also up in the air on how i want my front end. stock, stock bumper with 4runner grill and lights or full 4runner.. we shall see. until next time...

 

I remember seeing core supports from Olympic 4x4 supplys website, pretty pricey though if you've got junkyards over there

 

yea ive got yards over here. plenty. just dont wanna drill out a support and rather order brand new if i can.

What part of Vegas are you in? I just moved down in Silverado Ranch area and picked up an 86 standard/long from Utah. I gotta admit the starions look good but I like the westerns better.

Are you shopping at the yard on lamb? I went to boulder hwy pic a part and it didn't have anything for yota minis and I need a few things.

 

Haha yea I miss running em but danny has them looking good on his xtra cab. Im up in the northwest area, centennial hills. I go to lamb pick a part a lot. Also visit the truck yard on losee and lake mead (southeast corner). What all are you looking for?

Got a truck meet popping off in May.

 

Definitely need all the info on that meet! Doesn't seem like a lot of vegas minis meet up regularly.

I need to pick up a drivers side window regulator and a tailgate handle to start with, and maybe find a stock shift know with the pattern sticker intact.

I haven't been to losee or mead yet, been to lamb and bldr hwy yards for jeep parts a few times.

 

I got a regulator from ebay. All the ones I found in the yard were trashed.

Its more or less an islander meet but with a ton of datsun 720 and hilux minis. I didnt bring mine to the last two but hopefully I get it done in time.

 

Latest update: nada lol. Its been sitting in the garage as a new toy has taken my attention for a little bit.

 

Tax return is almost here so that means the hilux will be getting some love real soon. Think I'm going to sell my 4runner bumper and stick with a one piece chrome one yet still run the 4runner headlight & grill.

Last week i decided to cost the floor of the cab seeing as i removed that plastic liner. Came out pretty decent.

This afternoon the plan is to bring the rear down more. I'll plan on removing the middle leaf and flipping the overload spring. Then I'll see how much fender work I'll need to do out back.

 

there is another pick-a-part down on the SE side, i believe its on boulder near sunset or warm springs. thats the one i frequent the most (since its closer to where i live). not a whole lot of Toyota (truck) selection, but its way easier for me to drive there than drive to Utah. i mean, north town.
