OK so what happened was..................... i had the wrong leafs. Mine where belltech part number 5976 and i needed belltech part number 5978. So OGVINCYFOO on here was having the same problem with his but he has the 84-88 and the belltechs he had were to long(5978) and mine on my 89-95 belltechs were to short(5976). So we made the switch today and i slapped those bad boys on and they fit just right. Finally that problem is fixed. Now i got to install my drop spindals. Thanks guys for your help.

Measure from center bolt to one eye then the other. If the measurment is the same there is no right or wrong way to install them. It is possible the center bolt head is to big to fit into the axle seat hole. So like litneon said he had to swap out the bolts.

Now the cheaper option than getting Belltech drop leafs is to take your stock leafs out, get them De-Arched and reinstall. Just make sure a spring shop does it. I had mine done at work, here is a pic.

Edit to my earlier post...... Just because the center pin front to center pin rear measurments are the same doesnt mean there no front or rear. You also need to make sure one eye's and bushings are the same on both ends.

Was the price to remove the springs and shape them, or just to shape them?

Well cause at my work its 120$ labour rate per side. Extra if bolts are siezed. If a customer were to come in with the springs all ready out of the truck the cost to have them shaped or de arched in this case would be way cheaper.

I say shaped cause we have lifted trucks by increasing the arch.

Currently I have been looking at getting the belltech drop leaf for 89-95 pickups. Im under the impression that they should fit my 97 taco. Not a 100% sure on the measurements of the leafs if they will bolt right up but when searching around for the best price here is the best price I found.

    STILLEN : Belltech Leaf Springs

but still trying to find my answer without purchasing a set of leaf springs to find they are wrong.

Lucky for you I had 2 sets of leaf springs sitting around. Both from extra cabs. One set from a 98 Taco 2wd it measured 53 and 1/4 inch. And that was with them slightly de-arched and middle leaf removed. Not sure if that matters though. And the other set of leaf spring from my 92 2wd. They measured 49 and 1/2inch. And those ones are de arched about 5 inches. So it appears the older ones are shorter by a bit. At least the 2 sets I have.

The person to talk to about this is Yankeetaco on here. He has some on his tacoma and can tell you the right measurments. Just go to the memberlist above and type in his name and then send him a msg on what you want to know.

My old ladys little brother and friends come over to work on there cars so they use my **** and loose them or there taking them. But if i say something to him, he goes crying to my old lady saying im accussing him of stealing my stuff. I need a new tool box or bin to where i can lock it.

I text him a few times asking him questions about lowering my truck. I was told that the measurements are the same but no one have verified the alignment pin is in the same location.
