I have the marlin shifter seat and couldnt be happier. Much tighter and with the lce short shifter is a great combo.

So my W58 is now a 4 speed, at least temporarily. I broke the 1-2 shift fork so now first works if you're careful and second won't engage far enough to hold the gear. Soooo 1-3 shifts it is.

Picked up a different fuel cell that'll fit my needs MUCH better than my original cell. It's at a buddies getting mounting tabs welded to it. Also picked up an electric pump so everything will be converted at the same time. I still need to pick up some fittings and most likely a return style regulator before I put it all together.

The wheels are being swapped on my 84 tomorrow then I'll be driving it again while the 90 is torn down for the majority of the build. I miss my tunes! The factory stereo in the 90 SUCKS since it doesn't have any decent range. The 84 is a rolling juke box. :D

I love this!! This is the first time I read this thread. Since these trucks just have a panel there, this is a cool idea. :waytogo:

While 5 isn't needed it sure is nice to have an even split between the lower gears.

The exhaust isn't too bad now. I cut down an old glass pack and put it in after the flowmaster. It mellowed the tone at idle and cruise. :D

As much as I'd like to try a Borla odds are I'll stuff a magnaflow in there since I know the sound.

I've already got flowdisasters on both trucks. The 84 sounds good since it has a full tailpipe but the silver trucks sounds terrible. For whatever reason I've never liked the hush power. There is enough room for either mufflers so odds are I'll toss a stainless welded magnaflow on there like the 78 had.

Man, you really have me thinking about doing this in the future. To the point I've been searching the forum for frame pics... :D

Just need a Magnaflow muffler with inlet and outlet on the same end. 90* elbow between the frame and bed and then a chrome finishing plate.... :waytogo:

Sort of... I chose what I did because I either had it or it worked best for my liking. The flowdisaster is center in offset out but offset/offset would work. I used the largest clr 180* bend I could find from summitracing.com so I have more gentle sweeping bends rather than short & sharp restrictive bends. There are a couple places that make a U muffler but I couldn't justify spending that kinda coin when it can be done with what's on hand.

I can take better pictures of it tomorrow, the truck is at my brothers place and he has the 2 post lift so it's no problem.

So my taking pics didn't happen since we were working on the flatbed of my dads 84 toyota at 8 am and finished it at 2 am. I am however headed up there tomorrow to fix the transmission so it'll be up on the lift for sure. Need to get the shift fork swapped and move my seats. I mounted what I think are a set of supra seats in the factory holes and they are too far towards the center and too far forward so I'm going to mount them to the floor further out and back.

I had an old 4x4 W56 with a stripped first and fifth so I nabbed the shift fork out of it and now we're back in action.

No exhaust pics, I decided to change things up again this next week or maybe the next depending on my schedule so I'll snap off a bunch then.
