Hey guys i posted up my planed front end conversion im doin and was asked ot post up a build up.
even tho i havnt got much as over the last year i have just been learning and collecting parts i thought i would give u a look at my ****ty build so far haha

    http://members.iinet.net.au/~rinkkey/truck.htm

please take note the first time i touched a mig or did any sort of panel work was when i shaved the handels on this also on the tub capping it hasn't been flap disced or cleaned up as at the time it was my daily and just had ot be coated to drive for the week in that pic.

What i have planed/collected for it is a 4x4 xtra cab tub to streech it one piece glass and electrics a 22r (as its a desile) with a lil bit of LCE bits and pieces init and a weber carb and have a wish bone link kit for a canti setup on the way. This coming year i will be building a rear clip and also body droping it onto sills.
I will keep you guys and girls updated.
oo and if u wana see how **** the scene is in my neck of the woods haha check out my local forum www.underconstrucktion.com

me personally i like the jap bed, but i own both.. hmm i wonder how much it would cost to ship a dual cab truck to usa from there..hmmm. i know i would have a hard time with trying to get it legal to drive on teh road, but i think it would SO be worth it :D

To ship the bed, I would remove the welds and skin it and ship just the sides and a tailgate/skin if he wanted, everything else is close to the same . . . " Just an ideal ". . . I prefer Jap bed myself, but wouldnt hesitate driving/sporting either as long as its Toyota . ..

yeah i thought that was the difference...we call them sr5 beds and can only get them in xtra or single cab.
i like the fully smooth look myself except for the line...i'm going to try and get both the top and bottom body line to go round the bed along the back.. alota fun of grafting.
    cheers for teh response guys.

your build has inspired me a lot burnzya! I know my chop is different but screw chopping and putting together a 4 door roof! haha.. when it comes time, i'll have to have a chat to ya about how to fit wheels under one of these when its doored without them coming thru the hood, I like your idea of sectioning and widening the front guards seeing as i'm doing a new front end ;)

Test fit...gotta trim up the front and move it forwad and then sort out the pillars

I think it needs to go lower...but then it starts messing up my side windows :/

Just my opinion but You should have cut the the pillars higher up so they would line up better and make sure you save all those pieces you cut out. You may need them to patch up missing pieces.

The cuts on the middle pillars are there for when i need to match them up without cutting the roof, that way there leaning evenly and wont throw out my door alignment and the rear is there for when i cut the rear section to match it to the lower part it blends nicer.
