The Jewish Guy had first dibs man sorry.

Yes that is the resonator. I removed mine as well. It is basically a silencer for the pair system on the intake. I removed mine and put a cone filter instead...much louder now which doesnt bother me but i kept the resonator in my spare parts pile because im not sure if this
setup will pass visual inspection when doing emissions.

That sucks cause its a strong running 22R

I read in Yotatech that it is advisable to leave it on for inspection purposes. Here is the post from 2010:
"Is NOT part of the EGR. Its the Pulsed-secondary Air Injection resonator. The PAIR "injects" clean, fresh air into the exhaust while warming up to help clean the exhaust so emissions are lower at warm-up. You arent gaining or losing anything by blocking it off, other than: higher emissions out-put, it IS illegal, regardless of whether you have emissions testing in your state/county, and your cat can possibly be warn out faster. Possibly cause your O2 sensor to read rich, therefore causing the comp to slightly decrease the fuel injector opening time, making you actually run lean."

But this is talking about removing or blocking the whole system. What u have in that picture is just the silencer or resonator. Im pretty sure resonator is not needed. Pair system itself is def. Needed for emissions. Btw im on my way to get your est. On the exhaust.

Made it to Chicago...Well Des Plaines to be exact. Any locals?lol Love being here....it's been hard but things are getting settled down now. Had a few MINOR issues with the 4runner and Legacy but the pick up has been a champ....I love the trusty pick up :)

She needs to be cleaned up and oil changed but the important part is its healthy, daily driven, and a whole lot of fun to drive vs the 4runner.lol

I want to get my turn to take over you build thread... LOL, sike. Don't worry, I won't post my whole build thread like another has.

Did you put those gauge faces on that old cluster or did it come like that?

This is mine, haven't seen another one like it. The only eye soar is the 4x4 on it. I thought that all 4x4s had a tachometer but I guess not.

    Haha no joke man!

nah it was that way when I purchased the truck. I believe only sr5's came with the tach. As you can see in my thread sr5 cluster swap is fairly easy.

Today at work i had some time to mess with the truck. I installed the glove compartment light that has been in the glove box waiting to be installed since I left phoenix!! Its two parts...the light and the switch. Both have cut outs on the inside of the glove compartment. Changed bulb to led also. The switch looks and works great but the light part doesnt fit correctly....maybe because its from a runner.... till I find the right piece it will stay like that.....im also m8ssing a little cover for the light ....I think...

I also fixed the ignition light....the led bulbs I use kinds suck....theyre too wide for the hole. This bulb came loose so i jammed it back in...for now...I need to find proper fit leds and brighter too....

Other then that I ordered some stock oem used seat belts....hope I got the right ones....I hate the stupid after market "harness" thats installed right now.....I think pretty soon im going to try spraying the inside cab behind the seats.....its just black metal all scratched up....I will use sound deadening spray ....after that im thinking dynomat :D ....too noisy....

Thanks bro...today I cleaned up the belts as best I could. Stripped the set of the leather casings and center seat belt. Pretty easy to install....it was the ghetto rigging of the old lap harness that was a pain in the ass to remove. I'm missing the plastic covers on the top corners but other then that it all works and looks great. I feel safer having a shoulder strap rather then the heavy lap buckle.

    The covers im missing.
I removed the un-used buckle and slip the new ones through the old slot.
Now my captains chair has a real seat belt.

So I made a deal with a guy at work...hes gonna rust proof and undercoat my trucks....basically a rust proof undercoat that gets sprayed inside doors, under hood, and under truck including frame. I got a great price...I hope it works out good. 4 runner will get it first and if it works out then mini and suby are next. I picked up a truck they just finished check it out.

    Roni...
Just dont use armor all or silicone dressing in your engine bay bc the hoses and plastic will become brittle. Armor all should not be used on the dash topper either because with heat it will start to crack
