Whats the deepest dish rim we can run without spacers or anything else? Just the ones that bolt right up?

I know Litneon has 9.5" wide in the back and he tucks 'em. Not sure what he has on the front. It really all depends on the offset.

+1 for truth. Especially when you're doing a set of fancy wheels

also, my truck has currently been running 1.5" spacer adaptors for the past... Uhm, est2000miles. As long you torque them correctly and get good ones, go for it. I beat the **** out of mine... And still forget about it. Been doing fine so far. Vehicle stability increases and that can always be done with low offset wheels.

A wide track makes it stable... And when I drifted in the rain, it was a smooth and stable swing as opposed to jerky.

Spacer adaptors aka bolt on spacers are good, but I will always recommend getting lower offset wheels to get a better stance than using spacers. It's one of those "guidelines". I'm only running spacers because they were my bolt pattern (jeep Cherokee guy sold it to me) and was set at $100. He dropped it to $85 because I drove across town for it. Was originally around $200 when he got it and $45 for lugnuts. Old man was pretty relaxed, gave me a good deal.

Anyway, you can run a low offset wheel to get a flush stance. +20-30 ish is where you'll aim for.

Excuse me for a choppy post, hope you get what I'm saying.

Also keep in mind, that if you find some rears that have offset of even less than that (aka, some seeeerious dish) you can run the rear end from an older truck. Each gen is a little narrower going back. Yours is 59.5" if I remember, followed by 84-88 is 57", 79-83 is 55", 78-older is 53". So if you were to find some real wide rears, but the offset would put them outside the bed, you can do that to bring them in together. As long as it clears the frame. Its a truck non bagged guys often forget about.

Only bad part is, when you have a hilux already and want a narrower rear. You gotta narrow it. Like I'm doing this summer, for tuckin starion rims. :D
