Truck looks good bro. You going to get some wheelwell's on there eventually? Must kick up a bunch of crap on the inside of your hood and whatnot. I plan on doing electric fans on mine as well as soon as the bag job is done of coures...lol You def have one of the cleanest trucks on here. Keep up the good work.

Oh, those. Those are called Door Opening Aids or DOA's for short. They allow entry to the vehicle using a device called a "Kee" (or a pick), even with a dead battery or jammed release cable.

It gives it kind of a classical look, doesn't it? One of my favorite features on the truck.

I didn't think to get a close up of that detail, did you want to see it better?

Good Lord, lol, I take it you don't like shaved door handles. The truck looks great though man. Handles and all, I mean, Door Opening Aids, and I wouldn't mind seeing some close ups.

Actually, I like 'em shaved too. I just didn't want to do it on this project, with my budget and all...

Gonna start the bed soon, any ideas for closing it off?

I have three options I can think of:
    1. Tubs and a tunnel.
    2. Some kind of tonneau cover.
    3. Sectioning the inside bed floor walls to raise the stock floor and wheel wells.

I like the last idea best....

I like the tunneled look but but I think it would fit your truck more to raise the floor of the bed.

Is yours a reg cab or extended? Reg cabs you'll have to cut into the cab an make a new driveshaft tunnel in the rear. Extended cabs are a 2 piece shaft

Well, I've decided to redo the door pods for the components. I'm going to do another fiberglass set and will incorporate both sets of components, both fronts and rears. I never figured out anything that I liked for the rears, so I had removed them totally. Will post up pics soon...

I've been working a lot lately, so haven't had much time. But here are some pics...

My old door pods. Fusion Audio Jonah Lomu series 5 1/4" components.
