Not yet. I couldn't get the files to load correctly for some reason. I need to talk to my buddy and try to figure out why.

So we've been to a few shows recently, a lowrider show over in Deland, FL and Hot Import Nights in Orlando last night.

Got Best Motor at the Deland show.

Took home First in Hottest Toyota's class last night. I also added some lighting for this show.

Hot Import Nights is an awesome show if you ever get the chance to go. Complete with a full on Drift event. Lots of fun.

You have one nasty truck my friend. Question. Would your recommend the 22rte swap what kind of power are you getting out of that motor?

Hmm. Good questions. Would I recommend it? That depends. What kind of power do you want to make? It's still a really reliable engine, but to make the power that dreams are made of, it takes a lot of money. If I had it to do over, I'd probably have moved to the 2rz(?) or 3rz(?) out of a later Tacoma. They have a much better volumetric efficiency, and thus, can make power easier.

As of now, I still don't have any idea what it's putting down. I'd guess around 225 to 250 whp, but haven't been to a good dyno yet. The one I did some tuning on is known to be waaaay off, but was good for some reference tuning. At 13 pounds of boost, I picked up 20 hp with some timing tweaks.

But, for the money I have in this, I could have done any number of swaps. However, I wanted to stay 22re because no one is. It's a bit of a head turner at the shows....

Nothing serious. My wife and I went to Slamfest 23 this last weekend. Came home with this...

"Best Engine" Totally unexpected. There were lots of beautiful projects there.

I honestly haven't had time to get too much done lately. I've been traveling a lot lately for work and when I get home, it's not high on the priority to work on Penny. I've done a lot of tuning though.

I just tuned the engine to build boost while braking. Mainly for dig racing, I guess. I can make as much boost as I want standing still, but above 12 pounds or so the back tires just start spinning. I'll work on it a bit more, get a line lock and an LSD, and then post up a video. I have to do it at least once.

Not sure. If I could find a stock AE86 lsd I might be able to pick that up for a good price, but if not probably a helical gear unit.

A locker will probably be too aggressive in the rain, it's my daily...

That lsd does not work, you will have to find a mk2 supra diff like mine then stuff a max grip kit in since the stock lsd sucks
