Hi, Im adding AC to my sons 74 pickup, just installed a 22re from a 90 pickup, got the new compressor , does anyone know where to get the connector that plugs into the connector on the ac pump at a reasonable price? i found 2 on places that specialize in connectors, one place wants $75, other place wants $79.....i think thats robbery ...not many old toyotas in the wrecking yards nowadays...thought about just cutting the one off the compressor and just using my own plug but dont really want to do that, would rather have it plug in with original connector

Try a weather pack connector. You can find inexpensive options on amazon. Idk how many wires you need but they can be had for like $10 all you have to do is crimp on the connector

Cut th' plugs off. strip th' wyars, and duck tape'm t'gether.

Really though, you can post in the "want to buy" section. Someone might have what you need available. If you can post a pic it would help. Hell, I might have one in my MR2 spare parts pile.

Can you shove a quick disconnect in there in the mean time?

im not ready to get it going yet, still have to run hoses, get ends crimped, mount the under dash unit.....have the condenser mounted and ac compressor, just want to try and get the connector for when im ready, i may have to use something temporary for awhile, not sure what a quick disconnect is ? i thought i found the connector on partsgeek about 1/2 hour ago, but its not the right one, even though it says it is....it looks completely different
