Those are the best kind. Just make sure the tire guy puts the weights in properly so if they shake you know why. I have always run used tires so I figure if the company sells enough stuff to be around they must not be too bad. They're just gonna wear out anyways.

It's like spending money on name brand condoms...why bother, its just gonna be rubber on the highway someday.

I usually mount my own tires. I've had so many bad experiences with them telling me they can't do something (even though I used to be a tire tech and see through their bull****). I just use the old school method of pry bars and starter fluid. So what if I have a little shake at 55...

I learned to use tire machines in auto shop back in high school. I usually take the rims in loose and don't tell them what it's for. I understand the liability issues but some places go overboard worrying. The Mexican tire shops never have issues. I've got lots of pics of my truck floating on 4 floor jacks at their shop haha

Haven't been by in a while, busy couple of weeks.

For the vinyl, use something soft to apply, credit card with a paper towel wrapped around it. Because its shelf liner I do not recommend using heat to stretch it. Try not to touch the adhesive side that will be sticking to the surface. Use the hinge method, I'm sure you can find a video on YouTube. Clean everything well with denatured alcohol including the underside where the vinyl will wrap under. And remove your washer squirters.

I took the truck to scrapin the rockies a week ago and won best engine! All that work paid off.

I just wrapped my hood in the faux leather contact paper. It went down well. Well worth the $5. Wood doesn't match my color scheme.

And nice job on the motor. What did ya wrap that air cleaner cover in? Was thinking about recovering one of my weber lids in the same hood cover material.

    Recent stuff...
Put in a bench seat, it was formerly the rear seat out of an 88 VW golf. A buddy and I fabricated a seat frame and mounting brackets.

Installed a Kenwood exelon shallow mount 10" sub... Epic bass.

Was spotted by a photographer cruising around at the Golden Super Cruise.

This winter will bring some changes considering it's my daily. Currently looking for some 15x8 steel wheels and the worlds smallest studded 15" tire. Going to try to keep the same ride height this time, unlike last year. Probably will throw the topper back on but in black, it was just so damn useful. And I'm trying to dig out my old set of yellow fogs from the garage. Hoping not to ruin the style much due to snow.

My alcoa rip offs will be stripped and mirror polished. Its going to be a few dirty weeks to get that accomplished.

Btw, I'm doing my best to keep the engine clean.

    Until next time.
