You should powder the VC the paint starts to peel after a while because of the heat.

You should find a 22r celica and steal the dizzy boot cover. I find it is great to have. Keeps the crud off the plug boots. Being low kicks up alot of road debris. It's looking great. I don't know why I haven't thought of bolting something to a weber lid yet lol. Nice touch.

No header yet. Had a budget I needed to stick to and wanted to get all the engine internals done. When I get the funding I'll start getting bolt on parts, header, weber 38, under drive pully set, and so on.

Last night I got the engine to about 80% complete. Didn't get a picture because my phone died but I'll be back at it probably Friday night. Really wish I got a picture of the arp studs sticking out of the block.

Make sure you only hand tighten those studs . And I use red lock tight or arp lube on mine ..
after you crank the engine and reach normal operating temp ..turn off cool down completely and re torque / check studs again .

Couldn't bring myself to run rubber vacuum hose all over my engine so I picked up some brake line. First time actually bending hard line and it was a bitch but I think it came out pretty good.

All I need to do is put on the oil pickup and pan, rear main seal, flywheel, clutch and trans and its ready to drop in.

Hoping to have it running on Sunday but that's best case scenario. Still waiting on heater core hoses in the mail and a buddy to build a block off plate for one of the water outlets on the timing cover.

I'm gonna steal your hard line vacuum line idea. I only have 2 to replace lol. Brake booster and single dizzy line. It's coming along great. Ill be doing lots to mine tomorrow. Kinda cool to think there will be multiple members turning wrenches on the same engine at the same time all over the country. :D

I must make mine look this good. Amazing work. I'm looking close at it to try to figure out what's left after you cleared away the junk. I pulled the remains of the cab off of my parts truck and I'm staring at all the crap vacuum lines sucking all over it. I've got a 32/36 on the shelf, and I want it all to look like yours when done.

What's going on with the plate under the intake manifold? I haven't excavated far enough on mine to see how much you're covering up down there.

Front main seal didn't hold up after 30 miles... Looks like I'm going to spend a few bucks at the car wash.

Excuse me while I go beat my head against that wall.

Fixed the front main and an exhaust leak and drove it home. Seems the leak is fixed. Cost me 10 bucks at the car wash to try to get all the oil oil of the engine bay.

I installed the heater core hoses not too long after the picture was taken. Got to have heat in Colorado, even in July the nights can get a little chilly after a rain.

Ill post pictures of the truck and engine bay tomorrow afternoon.
