removing cab from frame, just make sure everything is pretty much unbolted. kinda like removing a very complicated bed. take your time! enjoy the work and all, it looks good still
lilttle update, just put my 4runner grill and headlights I'm thinking of making this truck all white out, color, rims, interior by the way anybody got no vent window doors for sale?
u can run the 5vze motor inside but it will be hard to tuck it with 20s due to the fact its a big motor and you will need motor drop mounts and maybe a graphed hood. i would swap to a 22re..should be smog legal still.
ops, i forgot to upload a piture LOL!! Ya, i think i'm gonna keep this motor considering if i do realy get the head gasket problem i can take it to the dealer and get it fix since they recall for that and this motor hasn't got it yet...
ok, so few pics of my progress, its looking it its coming all together again Stilll LOTS! too do.. From This: And Now Present:
ok finally droped it but it seems like it rides really rough lol front is sitting on bumper stop and back i took them off, but wouldnt it ride better if if put low pro bump stops on front and back and some drop shocks? I did 3'' block in the back with middle leaf taken out and the front i turn the torsion.. but anyways here some pics
thanks man, i'm up north in cali 1 hour away north from sac in a town called oroville CIN: I didn't trim the front it's basically sitting on the rubber and the back i didn't flip the brake either, should i? Also unno if you notice but i took ur advice that you gave somebody on toyota nation or yota tech in reusing the leaf positioner on the top of the block, does give extra drop
no, it just too much work, i'm not sure if you can or not but you would need to take the vent out, then find a no vent channel that holds it in place, then no vent window, even the window regulater ect..ect flacostaco: thanks man, just need to get it painted, hopefully in these upcoming weeks.
sometimes you just gotta listen to the asian! j/k if you remove it, you lose about 1/4-1/2" of drop. I'd recommend flipping that thing. you literally just push on it hard enough so it goes down lol. if its up higher like you have it now, it thinks that there's a heavy enough load to push the truck down that much.
Well where is the picks of it painted? J/K nice job man its looking good man. Now whats next on the list?
LOL! once i paint the outside white, next step would probably be the interior, reupholstery, but hey did you take the bump stops on the front of your truck? Mine is sitting on the bump stop and it rides like a bull lol i passed the railroad tracks when i first test run it with the front drop to bump stop and man it almost felt like the truck was gonna fall apart lol going bout 25 miles per hour.
dude i live in davis like 1.5 hours away we should meet u i think lowest93 is from sac too we should get a bunch of norcal guys to meet up!
you literally slammed your truck on the bumpstops.... My setup up front is trimmed bumpstops... and about 2-3cm between the frame and bumpstop, so i actually have a slight bit of travel And trust me, I rode on bumpstops for over half a year and all that.
