I hand washed it with some dish soap and then degreaser (Purple Power). Waited for it to dry then brushed it. Painted it, then brushed it again. I Don't know if if wears or fades, It has not for me but I bought mats for my truck after I did it so all the foot traffic is on the mats. The spots that are visible are as dark and clean as the day I painted it (7 months ago). I took my time, its not something that you should do in half an hour. I did it on a hot day, sun blazing, hung the carpet up to dry in the sun. Its cold now so that might not be that easy. Just use even coats of paint and I think that you will be ok. Even if you dont use mats and it does wear in the foot areas you can always touch it up. I will try to take pictutes so you can see.

So I was able to fix a trojan on my computer to get to my so I could get you guys up to speed on the build. The last set of pictures that I posted were up until early June of last year and these ones will put you up untill early August of last year before my move. This first one is one I tool in late May/ early June before I had finished the sanding on the cab.

These are later. Just a few little spots left and it was done.

These are of the cab up untill before final sanding of the primer. I also painted the rear frame, axle, tank, springs, and the front wheel well area up to the engine bay andto the A-pillar. I should have taken pictures of my work after but I was to lazy to go get my phone. Besides, I was using it to listen to Pandora and did not want to turn the music off.

These next few are of the hood. I sanded it to bare metal because it had deep rock chips all over the front edge. then I found out that it was a replacement hood which made me check the engine bay and what do you know. It was in a passenger side frontal crash. The welds looked good so it must have been done at a shop.

This is after I knew that I was moving for sure. Notice how I did not have my bumper on because I did not have the brackets for it yet. The following day is when I met Steve Nielsen of CanDo Specialties. To read about that click the link below. It was a great experiance for me.

And this is how I left her the day I left to start my new job. This was Sunday, I started my job Monday. Then glass guy was going to come Wednesday so I was nervous because I was not going to be there while the guy installed it. So I had to tell my fiance what to look for and what to ask. Then I had to go back Friday to install all the last things on the truck so I could bring it back with me.

Noticed how I shaved the antenna. I installed a windshield mount antenna. These fenders will be for sale with clear clearance lights after I find another 4x4 fender. I will get some more current pictures up maybe tomorrow. But Like I said after this picture progress slowed down a lot. I have been very busy with my new job. I come home tired most of the week and we live so much closer to family know that we usually at someone elses house on the weekend.

I think for now I going with straight static on this one. I want to tuck those 20's in two inches in from the fender line. Thats why I need the other 4x4 fender. I plan on rolling the fender and cutting the wheel well for them to fit right . Then I am planning a engine swap, not sure which one yet but I have narrowed it down to two. One is a V8 and one is an I4. They both make the same hp stock.

Thanks. Yeah but for $600, I could not complain and I found another bed for $100. I had Steven from Rollpans.com trying to buy it off me. Very funny.

Sorry, I will not sell it. I bought it online. I think from Amazon. I also bought the black one and a 4Runner. Better find it fast. They don't make these anymore and I seen some sites sell them for $50 to $60. Ouch... I paid like $28 each one or so. There is an orange one that came with a camper shell. That one is really hard to find, or its expensive to buy. I will post picture in the Off topic section

Its been a while but I have some stereo upgrades planned this weekend, weather permitting. Newly refinished door panels, speaker installed, sound deadening, stay tuned!

Here is what I have done this week end so far and there is still more tomorrow. My time was kid of short because I was only able to work on it for about 3 and a half hours.

I bought 1/4" MDF to make new door panels for my truck. I was hoping to get it this thick to keep it from vibrating as much and warping like my old one. I traced my old door panel and I drilled starter holes with my cordless.

This is the old MDF board for the door panel

Tool for the first part of this is my Dremel with a router attachment.

I had to modify the fasteners to fit the thicker 1/4" MDF board

Drilled the holes out wide enough to finaly fit the fasteners

Finally finished all the holes. This is the door opener handle hole.

My saw to cut out the panel.

Before I got started cutting out the panel

    Half way done with it.

    Getting it right

Finished cutting it out and test fitted it. It fit good but I think that I am going to have to go with a non-padded fabric vs padded inorder to get the door opener handle to fit because it was a very tight fit.

At this point I was trying to figure out where to cut the holes for the speakers but the window channel was in the way so i am going to get some MDF angled speaker rings. So I skipped that part and tomorrow I'd do the other side.

Now for some sound deadening on this toy. I started by scuffing the surface to knock off the dirt and dust.

I needed to clean off any grease and wax so I got a clean towel

    http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hpho...84270_100000596370331_1446092_863521589_n.jpg

    Some Dupli Color Prep Spray

I sprayed the whole area to clean everything

    http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos...7636_100000596370331_1446089_1812142588_n.jpg

    It was pretty dirty

The sound deadening all layed and rolled out

    The clean roof before

The roof all done. Still debating on covering it all but its already so dead whats the point? we'll see...

    The other door after

I ran out of time but this is next and then the floor

    More pictures tomorrow...
