The manufacturer requirement is 10w-30, he'll be ok going up to 15 where the average annual temp is much higher. All it means is that the oil will be thicker at starting. That's why its 10"W"-30. Its a 10 weight oil cold, and a 30 at running temperature.

    Well said...
I was told by the mechanic that works on my Porsche 930 that i could use the synthetic oil if i cleaned out the screen and pump from the sludge that may be present because the synthetic oil could remove the bad deposits and cause the oil pump to get clogged... I am pleased the way it turned out and you can watch the following video of the motor running.

Thanks. .. the intake is a 90ยบ elbow from Advance Auto Parts and its cost was $11.99 and the first joiner at the EFI is a 3" on one side and it tapers to 2.5" foe $5.99 and you can use the same type on the other end for a more snug fit.
The blue cone filter was purchased on ebay for $14.70 free shipping.

About the alarm system I am way ahead of you but my office is less than ten blocks away from my house and at home it is in my garage. I have the alarm system already lined up. Thanks for the good word.

Where can I get some 10.2 mm spark plug wires ?
The NGK blue wires on ebay seem really thin for $27.00 w Free Shipping
I saw some for a '93-'95 Corolla... I wonder if it would fit

Dunno if they have 10mm wires for the r series engine but I have 8mm msd wires on mine that's also with a msd6-al2 and blaster 3 coil the NGK wires may look thin but will perform fine with a stock and even modified ignition system they make good stuff . But if you want 8mm msd there about fifty to eighty bucks depending I got mine from amazon.com

VERY nice birthday gift to yourself. My truck looked just like that when I bought it! Same fenders were screwed up and all. Do yourself a big favor, have your tie rods, ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm and camber all looked at closely! I have been running same parts since accident and my outer tires are SO jacked up! Its dumb!

It will definitely need a front wheel alignment... luckily the only parts damaged were up on top and not below... thank goodness.. i know the previous owner and he has had many accidents.. he is just careless.. I will take better care of my rides..

I replaced the stock rear view mirror you see here with Roni's suggestion on his build to use one from a '93 4Runner.

I also replaced the stock rubber plain shift knob with the '93 4Runner shift knob

Looks cleaner and nicer i think:

I will be going to the junk yard this friday morning and if I see 1 I'll grab it and let you know.

the truck will be painted base coat white which is the YZ paint then after that it'll have white pearl and on top of the white pearl mixed in it will have little hint of blue tiny little flakes which can only be seen in certain directions from sunlight when it hits it

Tomorrow I am going to give the bed-liner a new coat of black to keep it looking clean and then comes the tedious process of putting everything back together.

I cut out the area so i could use the JDM type mirrors... and this is easy to do ... NOTE: DO NOT CUT OUT TRIANGULAR HOLE from Outside until you have gone from the inside ... remove the plastic cover and use the 3 bolt holes as your guide... Once you have drilled through to the outside then you can go on the outside and make your cutout.

I will later post the inside photo of the bolt holes.

These are the mirrors I bought from Roni " AssYriaNrocker"

This is Nestor who did all the welding and framework straightening on "La Chiqui"
