Well Bernie lives in Az, I live in Louisiana. Its usually humid fires won't start, lol. As best as we can determine the fuel pump pressure relief valve malfunctioned. Since I was running a returnless fuel set-up (common in carb apps) it overpressurized the regulator and blew the seals out of it. The reg was mounted on the firewall, hence the most devastation being located there.

Let me know if anyone has any more questions.

And for whoever asked I cut my apron when I was on 18's and massaged the firewall with a BFH to lay. If you Z it or Body it you will need to tub.

Dang man that truck is sick looking. Where did you get those rims at? I love those. Bet when the wind hits um it pushes you to the side of the road. Keep up the good work.

centerline smoothies?? and to shorten it i believe you take each side apart at the pumpkin and shorten them, re-weld and have to get shorter axle shafts?

hey cajun taco! i think you should do an 01 tacoma bumper like this. It would really set your truck off even more, subtle little things few people notice is always awesome.

it looks super clean. and here is how he did it, use your stock bumper mounts and a flat piece of steel

You ma new hero!!!....lol...On the real side, Nice looking truck..A bad ass engine too...this question may sound stupid to others but not to me, for I am a wanna be mechanic..still learning though...What did you have to do to make the 305 or 350 engine fit?....did you change the engine mounts of the toy?....

The rims are Centerline Smoothies. 20x8.5 and 22x9.

I have a jig that centers the axle mounting flange with the center carrier. I had a 1.5" Cromoly shaft made that is ground to within .002" straight and polished that goes through the jig. Then I cut the ends off, shorten the tubes, and weld them back on perfectly centered. Even if your rearend is bent a little it will be perfect when I'm done. Alot of people want their rearends narrowed and the cost is usually prohibitivelly expensive (at least around here, like 500-600) so I spent my savings and bought all the tools to do it and will narrow any housing for $150. On a toyota your stock shafts can be cut and resplined by Moser for around $110. I've done 2 toyotas, 3 Gm 10 bolts, 1 GM 12 bolt, and have a 9 inch to do right now.

I didn't bother painting the valance I have because I would like to swap to another bumper. I actually have an 04 coresupport, grille, 1 corner light and a few other pieces. I'd like to do the whole 04 clip someday.

    Thanks!

I used advance adapters bellhousing and clutch disc. 153 tooth chevy flywheel, mini starter, and 10.5 or 11" pressure plate. FJ40 slave cylinder. Then I used TransDapt engine mounts specifically for putting a 350 in a yota. But they didn't leave much clearance for exhaust so I moved the stock mount posts forward like 2" and then welded the transdapt mounts to them. There are some pics earlier in the thread I think.

They are just trailer fenders. I bought them from a local trailer supply place.
