92 22RE Daily Driver Build

    Almost.

    Completed today:

    Front bumper and grille mounted
    All lights are in (still need to wire up the HID balasts)
    Stereo is in
    Weather stripping is in
    All glass is in
    All handles are on
    Tailgate is mounted (needs adjustment)
    Carpet kit is in (cut and set in place)

    Still to do:

    All of the suspension
    Bucket seats (prob going to need to make brackets)
    Wheels & tires

    Oh, and Sean. Ask yourself that question about ANY of YOUR projects!?!?!?
    Yeah, i thought so.

    This weekend, i managed to finish everything but the front suspension.

    Im off tomorrow, so heading over to my nephews automotive shop so that i can do it on the lift.

    All installed, and need MORE! so adding a set of 2" drop blocks

    The interior was straight forward. New carpet kit, headunit and speakers (6x9 doors and 4" dash) and reconditioned the doorpanels in suede

    Ive only just driven it home from the shop, but i find the ride to be a bit bumpy. Especialy in the rear. But im not surprised about it.

    The turning radius is the only real issue. At full lock, the front tires rub the rear-inner fenderwell. Today i plan to grind down the pinch weld thats grabbing onto the tires. Should help to limit the problem.

    Any my front tires specs: 17x8.5 +5 offset

    Just that. A dent. Something the body shop missed and something the body shop will fix!

    Sits very nice man. Looks really close to mine mines the wheels. Twins. Um how the heck can the body shop miss that?

    Mounted up the 350Z seats.

    Drivers seat is in. Drilled out 4 new holes, used all grade8 hardware with oversized washers. So the stock sliders also function properly.

    Passenger seat goes in tomorrow.

    And there is a cool side panel that allow me to slip in the limp seatbelts to hold them in place. And the outside of the seats have cool trays build into them like the 4runner door panels.

    Haha yea that armrest is just high enough to be really comfortable!
