Look what greeted me when I got home a few minutes ago!!! Now to just get it installed and the fumes are history!!!!! \m/.

    :waytogo::clapping::applause:

Also cleaned out the interior with Lysol wipes, and boy was it filthy. Made a jumper for my dimmer switch, it's dead and the lights on the dash are hella dim. The jumper will work fine, I never use the dimmer anyways. No use spending money for something I won't use ever.

    Ahh, progress. :waytogo:

Got the header installed and the downpipe made and installed.... what a freakin' difference. It's actually pretty quiet (compared at least) and runs smoother now. No fumes in the cab with the window down!!!

Grabbed some seats that actually fit... I'll be posting pics of before / after as soon as I have the time to do it (hopefully soon, the stock seats are killing my back!!!)

what brand of header is that? does it fit in place of the stock manifold or does it lower the flange?

Its a Heddman header. Yea, you'd have to have the flange redone. No flange gasket either, it's the ball and socket fitting. It's $165 thru Summit. It's no louder than the stock manifold that I can tell, at least no more than the trucks I've had and this is the only header I've had on a 20/22R. The truck is about as quiet now as my old '88 was.

Nice thick flange too, think it's 5/8 or so. :waytogo:

Grabbed 'em from a guy out of an '06 Corolla. He replaced them with race seats (????? it's, um, a, COROLLA???). It's gonna take some creativity redo the brackets, I was just gonna pull the rails off the stockers and bolt 'em on probably. They need some cleaning but even without it they're better than my stockers... I sink a few inches into my stock seats... like a WAAAAAAY too soft couch except no support at all.

Pics will be coming... I'm gonna try and tackle this and have it done by the weekend... hopefully.... LOL!

You should have seen it, I was a rolling cloud for a few minutes. The smoke started coming from under the hood, and it took me 30 seconds to realize what it was! been a while since I got a new header. Used to have to re-paint my Tri-Y's on my old '66 Mustang every season before I hit the track because the paint would flake off, so every time we rolled to the track the first time I was a cloud. Brought back memories!!!! :waytogo:

yea the coating would be a good idea if you can afford it, the paint burns off pretty quick. So far it's pretty killer. Nice and quiet for a header, runs good. Looks good even with the burn paint, but that's a typical header thing.

OK got a few things done this weekend....

    - Got the seats, gotta clean them up, and figure out how to mount them. They still sit a little higher that I'd like, so I'm going to have to get creative.
    - Got a new rear view mirror, mine was kinda crappy. Not sure but besides the fact it's new and clean, the replacement I got might be crappier. Stupid thing vibrates. I think I'm gonna tighten the hell out of it and see if that helps.
    - Cleaned up the crazy wiring. Wires everywhere and half weren't hooked up to anything. Basically someone put like 386523490 speakers in this thing, but didn't bother to take the wiring out after pulling the speakers. I even have wires under the rug and the sills to behind the seats. 4 on each side (???). did they have 2 sets of speakers on each side?
    - Took my bezel out and cut it for the stereo and clock. Check out the pics. I am going to make a piece to go between them to fill the gap, and the trim ring for the stereo will cover the mounting ring. Now I just have to get speakers! Gotta finish up the wiring harness for the stereo, clock, and power outlet and then it all goes in except the stereo until I have speakers. Oh and sorry Joe! At least I didn't hack it up, I did it nice and clean!!!

After that, I'm gonna pick up some rubber sheet and cut pieces for the aprons. It rains a bit here so I need those in place. Last thing I want is to be stranded in the rain. Again. No thanks. Then if I find some decent speakers I'll throw them in. Getting closer ever week. Eventually I'll pull those middle leafs out and get a little closer to the ground. Have some time off coming in a few weeks, was gonna tackle that then.

    Interior mostly done!

OK guys, I did a bunch the last two days with my wife and daughter out of town and the album starting tomorrow... so I went to it!!!

Ripped out the seats, ripped out the carpet, insulation, kick panels. put new insulation, some carpet I had left over from a Civic I had a while back, cut the brackets and slapped the Corolla seats in, put the new door panels on. Looks MUCH better. A little quieter too since I put 2 layers on insulation down. Still have to cut the holes for the speakers, but that's not a big deal.

Had some wiring issues to take care of too, and re-installed the stock rearview mirror.

    Here's the pics before:

The nasty carpet I took out:

The stock insulation was nasty too:

Got some rust and it was just filthy in there:

And the carpet goes in, and the rest gets put back together:

Much, much, much, much better. Now I need to find a replacement shift boot!!!! Mine's super nasty.
