    Yea, that made a difference.

So I filled the tank up on Monday night and been driving to work this week. I have 130 miles on the trip odometer and I have a little less than 3/4 tank. before, when I hit 100 miles I'd be looking at 1/2 tank or so. Looks like I might be doing better than the old 17-18mpg I was getting before. I'll see when I get below 1/4 tank and get gas what it comes out to be.

I doubt I'm gonna be getting the 29mpg my xB gets, but if I get 25mpg I'll be stoked. I'll find out in a couple days, with a 37 mile commute one way it won't take long :verdict_in:

Ouch, my 521 only gets 22, but its a 4 speed and I drive it like I stole it.

    Jets maybe?
    Driving style?

Jets - just set up the Weber. Any leaner and it pops. any richer and MPG goes down.
Driving style = grandpa. Never over 3500prms and I think I floored it once. I was expecting a little more than not even 20mpg.... LOL! maybe my rear brakes are locked and I'm dragging the rear end everywhere I go. Yea, that's a good enough excuse... LOL :verdict_in:

Dang, with my beat to hell hybrid with a 45dcoe running unknown jets, W58 and 4.10's on 215/70/15's I got an average of 17.9 with a best of 18.88 going over Snoqualmie pass this winter. Something is goofy to only get that mileage me thinks.

Well I have had no luck selling it, but it looks like my Mother in law wants it to use for stuff around her house. it would still be my truck since she's in CA and it's not smog legal there (Federal emissions, so no Cat). So over the next couple weeks I'm going to:

    - Jet it up to 145. I think it's still lean. I have a 145 so why not! might as well try it. i think it's pretty close to right, the plugs seemed fine but you never know. that's not that far off. Plus the idle screw it out right at the limit for the jet, right? Want to get it below 2.5 turns and I'm right at 2.5.
    - Blower motor resistor. Gonna be tough to drive this thru the Central Valley in August without at least a fan!!!
    - PCV valve hose hooked up. Just kinda hanging there right now! Never got a chance to hook up the "T".
    - Replace the steering box. I'm not gonna make her drive it like that... it's a little too loose.
    - Replace the transmission output shaft seal. never got to that either.
    - Replace the windshield gasket. It leaks when it rains, and it'll be sitting even more at her house, so the floorboards will be GONE if I don't!

Might slap some blocks in there too, it sits up too much in the back and it bugs me. it'll make it look better and probably handle a tiny bit better, although it does pretty well. Just kinda sick of the "Joe Dirt" stance.

I will take pics. Will probably be a drastically different truck in 2 weeks, gotta deliver it the last weekend of the month. Thrash to get it done anyone?

Good thing about this is that later on I can snag it back from her when i can afford it again.

    Lol!!!

So... can anyone tell why my old blower motor resistor didn't work?

I laughed out loud in the parking lot at work just now when I pulled that out... holy crap!!! new one is next to it.

After that I installed the "T" into the hose for the power brake booster for the PCV valve. Didn't run any different but there are no leaks. Gotta get a filter for the front of the valve cover still.

So an update... my mother in law changed her mind monday so not bringing it to CA. Good thing because my torsion bar bolt broke. Ordered new ones.
Still have to do a couple things, but the steering box and the blower resistor were pretty important and got 'em done.
Now I have to just put those new bolts in, slap the blocks in, and replace the tailshaft seal in there and I'm pretty much done.

    Close! I'm very close!!!
