on the blocks.. i put a set of 5" blocks on my 95 s-10 i bought them from aim industries, they came with u-bolts for $36. i've since put 40,000+ miles on them and i must say they are still workin great. they are tapered and even with the 5" drop no driveline problems. the only thing is since the block is so tall it causes some axle hop, but is only noticable when i have the bed off and can actually get it to spin the tires...
started the little bit of body work that I am gonna do today... I dont care all that much so just the big nasty stuff is getting fix. Hopefully spraying paint first of the week. pictures to come.
paint being sprayed as we speak...posting this between coats then back to the shop... The bed body work (tho it looks better than before) still sucks balls... Realistically this needed a whole new (better condition) bed. This one was probably too far gone...But its a 600 dollar truck so I really dont care...Better than before = good enough for me. Pictures when I unmask.
if for some reason you decided to do the 80s era toyota prerunner/arena truck paint job that would be awesome. i think it was robby gordon but i totally dont remember.
Went with a just white... bright ass white...Looks great. Here are the pictures. Not sure on what I wanna do with the rims yet...
I need to replace the front bumper and blinkers in it, they are crap...that will happen soon. And get new rear side running light lenses as well...All will happen in the next couple of days. I am also gonna repaint all the inner fenders and under side of the truck black (got alot of white overspray on it) but the more paint the better...rust protection lol. So I will post pictures after all the real fine detail work is done. So far Im still under 200 bucks on all the paint and paint prep so thats awesome... all in all, INCLUDING the cost OF THE TRUCK... Im in it less than 1200 bucks... And I know for a fact it will drive 2000 miles in a weekend or more so it runs as great as it looks. A few performance upgrades (cam, header and carb) and I will call it good and just use it as a driver, or maybe sell it for a good profit and flip another car..idk.
right now they are just for looks as I have not got around to cutting the hood...but I will be cutting the wholes in the hood and doing duct work with them for a ram air and exhaust cooling setup.
picked up a brand new front chrome bumper for 38 bucks today...not as thick/solid as the old one but fits good and looks great. I should be able to pick them up from the local supplier for that much as long as they have them in stock so anyone interested i can get you one.
It is the tape kind...but I have it on my supra and have had it on for a while..works great and lasts. I have buffed my supra multiple times and never had any issues with the striping so I knew it would be good on this truck.... Next week I need to rebuild the carb so I can get its cold weather running a bit better...then its interior work which will consist of a new custom center console, and some new black vinyl to tye into it to give it a nice black and tan two tone interior.
