Well, it's running semi-reliably (starts up right quick most of the time) now, but there's still a few issues that need ironing out. There's a bit of binding in the linkage that stops it from going all the way back to idle, the oil light is STILL on (which could be related to the charging system problem) even after changing the oil (though i'm noticing a definite improvement in the sound after the change) and the charging system, despite having a brand new alternator, isn't charging the battery.

No recent news on the truck, but some more exterior pics.

The primer grey grill half originally came (primer grey included) off of a smurf blue pickup at pull & save. Would have taken the other half, but it seems the left-hand side grill halves are cursed to be damaged.

Once I get the charging issue and the rear brakes figured out, though, I think I'll finally be comfortable driving it out on the roads.

In other news, we had a bunch of Mercury Cougars (the old ones that were basically "luxury" mustangs, not the newer pieces of junk) on our back lawn the other day from the Cascade Cougar Club. My parents each own a cougar and decided to host a get-together before the "Car d'alene" show over in Coeur D'alene about a week ago. Here's one of the cars that a visitor brought:

my DD also decided to lose the oil cap yesterday, so that was a barrel of fun, but thankfully we've got another similar car here that uses the same head, (and that isn't being used) so I was able to get the cap off of it to use.
