77 Hilux - Project Frankentoy

    Got around to doing the AW11 MR2 brake booster/master cylinder upgrade on Frankentoy.

    Sweet - looks like it freed up some space there and probably dropped a few lbs!

    Maybe my eyes deceive me --- did they not re-weld the frame together before installing the fish plates on your front frame chop? I can't zoom in but kinda looks like it to me with the dark line vs a weld.

    Cool project! I like that old school hood ornament. Was MR2 booster pretty easy to swap? I have one laying around somewhere in my garage. Was going to use it for my old Celica. Never got around to it and sold the car.

    It is completely welded.

    The bolt pattern for the MR2 booster is smaller so as long as you line up the rod in the center hole, just drill a few new holes inside the original pattern. I also had to do a slight trim on a bracket on the inside. I didn't even have to readjust the MR2 rod and it hooked right up to my pedal.

    Thank you.

    Yeah the trick will be getting a intercooler to fit in front of my radiator (that I still have to get custom made), and inside my nose cone.
