I'd figure about 25 in the rear if he plans to retain some highway mpg etc lol up to him in the rear you don't really need a shorter tire. Maybe inch?
my 205/60/14s are about 24" tall. Its alot of tire but at the same time its just enough. Ima get some stock take offs tho. Well thats if my unpaid registration isnt too damn expensive
Theres tons of wheel options out there. You'll find some you like. My advise is go for ones that have a usable tire size on them already.
OEM wheels are awesome..... why? Find a set that looks clean (not so overly loaded with weird designs, somethign with good taste) And they'll have a decent tire size AND finding 16"+ wheels are pretty common out here now! and then alot use 5x114.3 bolt pattern! and if you bend one! it's not gunna cost an ass fortune to repair or even replace!
Thanks for all the good feedback guys, I will most likely only go as low as my tires will let me for now. This truck was kind of an unexpected purchase, and I don't want to throw a ton of cash into right now, but if I run across some wheels and tires that I like, who knows? Yeah mpg is important, I need to get out of my 1994 Chevy Silverado 4x4 for a while (12 mpg)
Finally got around to taking some more pics of the timing set and cover. Notice the broken guides, missing teeth, chain wear, grooves in the cover with a crack at the water jacket, and a piece broke off inside the cover I also replaced my headlamps, they sucked. I picked up one of the old ones after replacing it and the lense stayed on the floor. Then I could see why the old ones were so dim, the chrome had come off. I went with the Silver Star Sylvanias, they're a lot better now. I need to get around to dropping it, anybody like the angled / tapered 3 inch blocks? I can't decide if its worth the extra cost over the generic autozone blocks or not. I really like the looks of those beefy taco ones, or whoever they are, but that price.
A sorry sack of crap actually hit my truck with a tractor today. It's not bad, but he scratched my front bumper in several spots. I'm sure it'll begin to bleed rust in a few days. I'm thinkin' about persuing payment for a new one. He was playin' around ,and i'm sure he didn't mean to do it, but that doesn't make it any better. He is an A hole anyway, thinks he's above the law because he used to be a US marshall, volunteers at the local fire department, and pulls his little 38 on everone he thinks can get by doin it with. Dont know if you all have ever been around this type of bottom feeding, pittyful excuse for a life form or not, but if you haven't. consider yourself lucky. Sorry but I really needed to vent a little. And good luck to everyone who tries their best to stay clear of idiots like this.
ya, just document the damage and get witnesses if possible, and go through the proper channels, if he trys to wezel out of it atleast there will be the law on your side. Knowing someone like him as soon as that starts he will try to buy you off with cash or something.
I say rough up the mother fu**** and ditch his.....hehehehe...just messing around here....nothing serious....I agree with dillinja666....document the incident and have him pay for the damage he made...
Well I hinted around at the guy to pay me for my bumper, and he talked like he was going to reimburse me, but time has passed and he hasn't mentioned it again. So I guess I'll drop it. Anyway got a new windshield put in finally. The old was really hurting my eyes. When the sun shined down, it had a really bright spot that just blinded me. Im thinking about just ordering a belltech drop kit, shocks and all. Would it be worth it?
blocks and spindles is all you need bro! get some 3" blocks out back and 2" spindles up front. then crank down your tortions and remove the middle leaf if you dont think its low enough.
I had been noticing my truck was hard to start. Then the other day it just barely started. I got up the road and it just shut off. I got it fired back up and I made it back home, thanks Toyota. I suspected a clogged fuel filter. I bought one a while back, but I had been putting it off, because I know how much of a pain it is to change, thanks again Toyota. I started on it today, along with getting the radiator repaired before freezing weather gets here. I'll just say, HOLY CRAP, It has been a lot worse than the 4x4 was. Ill try to get some pics and finish it up tommorow. Any body got a way to relocate that thing? Or heard of any else to do? My tank is kindy rusty, so I may continue to have this problem unless I coat the inside of the tank. Thinking about it.
