Anyone know of some good shops in the VA area? Thinking that when I get the truck over there to either bag it or go to coilovers all the way around.

depends on how you want to do it. You going with a rear sump or a front sump. I would avoid the W58 trans as it is weak and do a R154. If you do a rear sump will have the option of buying motor mounts from BIC. If front sump you have to have custom mounts made.

So today i found a 2jz block with head pulled from a sc300 with est 200k. For about 350. Looking to machine, build internals, boost and drop in my 95 pickup. I have seen the BIC motor mounts but have a few questions. What is front and rear slump and if block is in good condition is it worth it?

Mileage shouldn't scare you at all since you are going to tear it down and rebuild it. So long as the block and head aren't cracked I'd use the mileage to bring the price tag down.

@toyotadrift: Mine was a 22r so not a lot of the wiring was all custom done. Front sump does not get mounted higher but gets mounted further forward causing you to have to make custom mounts for radiator. Do it the smart way and pay to change it to a rear sump pan!!!!!!!! May cost more but soooo worth it and I will for sure do that if I ever build a new one or redo my current one.

I believe that the only car that came with the 2jz in a rear sump was the supra as well.

I don't know if you're still looking to bag or do the coilovers, but I have a good friend close to Atlanta, GA that does that for a living now. He does VERY nice work and I'd trust anything in his hands. I actually spoke with him about putting coilovers and my Supra IPS in the rear on my 83. He does a lot of air ride work for people and anything else people throw at him. Let me know if you'd like his information.
