@Toytruk: Yeah meth helps so much! ill be running like 22psi with meth! crazy numbers lol.

@Fa'kaasGuam: there is not real stage kits for a jz motor. You either go BPU or APU. BPU would be to get a boost controller to rase boost to ~18psi, exhaust, intake, boost cut controller, and a FMIC. APU would be going to a single turbo like what I have. What Toytruk has is a BPU set up. The only problem with BPU on a 1jz is that it uses ceramic blades in it and at higher boost are more likely to have a catastrophic failure. thats the jist of it. Oh and a BPU 1jz would probably make like high 300s maybe. i know some 2jz BPU run into the 400s but that is a bigger motor.

ya dont pay attention to that stage crap, was an old school trick to justify selling more expensive parts.

Any 1jz is good jus make sure its a supra or soarer cuz they have the rear sump oil pan setup and your gonna need to clear front cross member.

Just like jctoy said all are good the only flaw is the ceramic blades on the turbo. Now there are a few different variations of the 1jz as well. I know that some came with a similar twin turbo set up as the MK4 supra (2jzgte) and some came with a single turbo. The older ones had the twins and are the ones with ceramic turbine blades. When they went to the single in the newer versions they went to a more traditional style turbo with metal blades. (do not quote me on this I could be wrong) What year they did this change I do not know you will have to do some searching to find that out. Lastly you can get a VVT-I 1jz but they are a pain to tune from what I have heard and they are single turbo.

With all that said I know there is a site out there that gives you detailed info on all the changes made to the 1jz over time and will give you a better idea of what you will want to find. Google is a wonderful tool. Best of luck to you man!

Now for some info on the truck.....

Ok so was driving the truck a few weeks back and for some reason it just stalled out and now will not sustain idle. Predictions are that its a bad sensor somewhere and just got to pull codes to find out what that is. Its getting towed today to rodney so he can show me how to pull codes lol and so we can map out fuel lines and were the fuel cell will be located (spare tire location is what I want) Then order the goods from summit! the truck will stay with rodney for the next month and a half or so to knock all this out. Once the fuel system is done we will not do a tune on it until I pick-up the new MAPECU 3. This has got every thing I will need. With it I will be able to have 2 tunes available at the flick of a switch so will be a street and track tune available. Also has a 2-step launch control so no more turbo lag off the line.

I have also decided that we will be putting a MUCH larger radiator in the bed of the truck to open up the front of the truck for a nice big FMIC and the AC condenser. Will have a bunch of pics so just stand by and enjoy!

So truck is with rodney for a little while. Looks like the Idle control valve went bad on it and has been the cause of the issues. Toyota wanted 500 for the danm thing but lucky found a used one on Ebay just waiting for it to come in. Also ordered a 16 gal fuel cell, 50FT of aluminum hard lines for deal feed and return. We will start with that then work our way up to the fuel rail. SO close to it being a total beast!

OK so looks like the ICV valve was not the issue but a new one was put in anyways. We decided to just go ahead with the fuel system because the last thing we can think of is an issue with the stock FPR. SO hear is what has been done so far.

Will it pass track tech bolted to the bed? Thought the cell had to be lower then the top of the tires

@toy: no getting rid of the stock one. It's not a efi fuel tank so have issues of gettin air in the lines when low on fuel.

@dillin: it should be fine. Idk how many trucks with a set up like this. Not going to be just racing the truck. Goal is for it to be a 10 sec daily drivable truck.

So been gone for a long time guys but been busy with some stuff. Got to put the truck on hold for a sec because Rodney blew up his S4 motor. Once he gets back up and running we will kick into high gear on the truck.

Parts that will go on the truck:
    1) USDM Cams
    2) Big Break Kit
    3) Water/Meth Kit
    4) Radiator and piping for relocate to the bed
    5) HUGE FMIC
    6) MapECU 3

Also pickup up the new GOPro Hero 2 so should get some cool videos from that as well so if your subscribed to my YouTube then stay tunned. If your have not you should 892jz.

I will be going with the ones you posted up on on this tread actually. Talked with the company and they are located in OR which is my home state so going to give them a shot. They have to work better then the 7in single piston rotors I have now. 13in with 4 piston calipers will be like night and day!
