my w58 3.42 geared truck runs 100mph [and still accelerates hard]at like 2800 rpm in 5th id be scared to see my top end with 3.07s being what it is now

 

well got a new rig 79 sbrc 20r/l43 swapped the l43 last night for the w58 out of my 82 driftbox, straight swap used the 4spd driveshaft but i had to use the trans mount ear from the 82 which was a w42orw45 originaly so i just bolted it up with the front mount bolts in the rear holes [only two used] ill change this later if i find a 5 spd ear off a later truck cut the hole for the shifter and hit the road even with a 410 rear gear im cruizing nice about 70-75 [speedo is pegged out about 15 over what im acctually going]
