1jz pickup build process

    Ha yeah but then he will have to deal with turbo lag! lol if you/when you go single you will NEED some kind of launch control or you will have slow ass times like me lol. Good idea to start looking at the MAPECU 3 cuz it is cheap and offers all you would need!

    how hard was the actual swap man, like start to finish dropping the motor in, and getting it started.

    Not bad at all man... Lots of custom stuff tho to get it functioning like a normal truck/car would (ie with power steering, working gauges and stuff) but there is a custom mount kit designed for these trucks, intercooler piping was a universal kit and i put it together, wiring i had sone one do cuz i wanted evrything to work with no problems, exhaust was custom.... Main thing is the mou ts were already made!!! Drop in like it was meant to be!! Tight and alright u know...

    But i havent had any problems (knock on wood) and ot came together really nice!!

    Ok so i got a Ford 8.8" rear end from an explorer... 3.73 gesr ratio locking diff with disc brakes...

    Gotta get it blasted and painted...

    Ok got the rear end back from blasting... Loooks AMAZING!! Looks like its primed already!!! Just bare metal....

    Haven't done anything yet man... Still haven't touched brakes.. It's winter here so I'm in no rush... Will be updated for sure when brake parts go in..
