Alrighty! Its done (for now) shes out the shop, back at my house and I love it. Big props again to Jason, Under Construction 93, and the wife and kids for allowing me 16 hr weekends and spending alot of cash in a short period of time. Oh, and if you were reading my issue thread with my brakes..yeah, I messed up (i know, right?) by hitting the master with a hammer, not like beat the eff outta it, just clearanced it and broke the seal. Engine was running rough and brakes were locking up by themselves. So, new booster it is. But...if youve been following along, for that to be my only issue with as much stuff as I have cut, welded, relocated, extended and reduced....for my first bag build, I did darn good. Anyway...pics! Before and after too! Look at me!

If you wanna run big wires like those 8mm plug wires, your stock cap wont work. Thats a dist cap for an 82. I knew it would work cuz I did that mod to my first Yota, an 82. Gonna run a 82 booster too, once I get the 150 bucks to order the dang thing.

The thing I was worried about most, was the rearend and the 4 link adjustment, and I drove it about 4 miles at 60mph and she was good...so. Lucky me. I have the door panels at an upholstery shop now, and I am getting her ready for show season. I should clean up on trophies!, as there arent hardly any bagged Yotas where I am!

Probably not for a while. I tapped my budget for the year probably lol. Im geting interior work done, then gonna paint it. Still undecided though. I originally wanted factory evergreen pearl, then I wanted red. Now Im thinking a maroon, deep red on top of a cream/beige bottom half...

So I need to figure out what direction Im gonna go before I spend a grand on paint.

To clear it up . As I found no where that said definitively. If you bag and body on 18s and have problems clearing the stock brake booster, don't do like me and use a hammer to clear. Any 79-83 toyota 2wd gas brake booster bolts right up. No modification necessary. Just measure the distance from the bottom of the booster to your stock hardware for attaching to the pedal so that the new one is set up for the same throw and bingo. No cutting or welding required. Once I have time I would like to put together a sticky with all this need to know information. Because I know I have searched an searched many dead end threads that lead you on and just stop. That be cool?

Well after driving it all wknd, tweaking the timing, still need to adjust valves, tightening stuff that was loose, and vibrating, silencing rattles and what not, she is officially decent lol. I had to adjust the steering stops because it had a huge turning radius, never drove it after the drop spindles were installed.

All is well now, electric fan is hooked up, and Iplan on taking it to its first show Saturday. Still havent made my mind up color wise on paint, the door panels are at the upholstery shop getting done currently. I love it. Drove it to work and since down here in GA, the cool thing is 4x4s and mud trucks, so when I roll up to work and lay it out, heads turn! And thats a good thing for the show scene!

    PICS, and a video!
