So I had to replace the left rear brake wheel cylinder for the drum brake the other day, no progress pics but took about an hour and $18 overall not that bad of a repair. went through and cleaned the floor up a little and found a few rusted through spots in the drivers side floor. so floor repair coming up soon.

just stumbled on this build, lookin good so far. but i did that on my wheeler like byker said. but i did it half drunk with zip ties and a hacksaw and ended up tossing the grill for more lights. heres some old pics of the swap, it would look really good IF done right but the 74/8 is a bit skinnier then the 79/83.

You keeping the stock carburetor? You might consider a Weber 32/36 DGEV if you keep the stock cam in it. They improve performance, fuel mileage, and clean up the engine compartment considerably.

Just swap the cam and put in a good carb. Putting an EFI in it will be costly.
