    Big-ish Update

    Hey guys, im back.

    So while i was gone i started the body drop process, by taking off my bed, i figured since i havent done a body drop i should start with the bed because it will be a lot easier then the cab.

    I put it on the lift to loosen and remove the pins and nuts.

    After the bed was off;

    Then i went to the engine, i took the valve cover off and clean it then bought some DupliColor Engine Enamel green and black spray paint and painted my valve cover.

    Green was laid down first

    [IMG]

    Then i took a foam brush and highlighted the raised areas in black

    Hows she looking guys?

    Update

    So i forgot to mention a few things with my previous updates. First being ive had a decent stereo setup in her for a little bit now, it includes;
    -DUAL head unit
    -Orion 10" Sub woofer
    -Pioneer 760 Watt Amplifier
    -2 Kenwood 7 1/4" Door speakers

    I also went to Pick-n-pull and grabbed a center console out of a 2000 Ford Focus, just so i had some cup holders, but the shift boot looks kinda cool. I also got a couple seat covers for christmas, and a "Limited Edition" Emblem/decal that is on my glove box.

    Thanks byker for the Tach in the vent hole idea i used a cheaper $35 tach. I also used some cheap graphic duct tape to cover my gauge bezel.

    Thanks byker for the mirror, i cant remember what year it is though so i can get a drivers side.

    Progress is coming along real nice. Glad those parts and tricks are put to use. Mirror is either 79-83 or 84-88. Those were trucks I parted years ago to acquire the parts.

    For carpet go to a carpet store and get a yard or two of black. And some pad too. Cut and glue it to the floor. It's how I did mine. Off the shelf carpet floor mats I got from a camaro ten years ago on top of that. Nothing fancy. Cost about $30 to carpet. It insulated things alot too. Still loud. But helped lol

    So i cut the bump stops in half and gained about an inch more drop. The tire tucks about an inch and no need to roll fenders... Yet.

    Coming along nicely. And I think I got another mirror for ya. Got an 88 and don't plan to use the mirrors. One was broke, ill see which side is good. I have a chrome 4wd grille for yours too now. It would look really cool.

    Thanks Yankee, let me know what you have for front end wise, I rear-ended someone and now i'm in great need of a hood, grille, front bumber. I also need to straighten the core support and get a new headlight, but overall the damage isn't unfix-able it will just take some time.

    So i think i have most of the damage repaired, I'll post pics of before and after here pretty soon, i know i'm in need of a new hood, but that's it in the line of parts i need. i'll probably head to pick n pull here in the next couple of days to get a hood off a pickup from there if its in decent condition.

    Nice! So you're running no torsion bars and basically your shocks and bumps stops are absorbing everything? How does it ride? Bottoms out?

    The ride is really bumping, and the bump stop and tires absorb everything up front. in the back, if i had the bed an the axle would hit my frame on almost every bump. The overall ride is bad to be honest lol, but the look is what i'm going for, not ride quality.

    Update

    So I started working on the body drop more, and I also worked on the hood, trying to get it to shut and open properly.

    Cutting the bed floor for the body drop;

    Sorry for bad quality

    The truck after the crash.

    Then after I repaired the damage. I also straightened the bumber and painted it black, replaced the factory rounded-head bolts with new bolts, for easier removal, i removed the valence so i could start straightening it, i also repainted the grille because that got damaged as well.

    while in the middle of all of this i got to drive a Porche, that was fun but I prefer my Yota :)

    It snowed a little here, my Yota couldn't go anywhere :(

    Update progress will be slow, but good news is i have a job, so i will be able to get more parts for her, and get some wheels, any suggestions for wheels? Size? offset? what would look and fit best?
