Electric if you want better control of your temps. But you will have to add a relay/fuse/subharness and possibly the sensor again. In your case, I'd try just removing the fan. Drive it and let it warm up. It should pass the middle of your gauge. If that happens, just add a clutch fan since you're just DD.

If Portland is like tacoma right now the ambient temp might be playing a role along with no fan clutch. If you don't already have a higher output alternator an electric fan might open up a can of worms.

OK so I loosened the fan shroud and slipped a piece of cardboard between the fan and radiator and was able to get the truck up to temp and heater blew, ran nice, etc. The fan defiantly runs the entire time but there is a fan clutch assembly. The fan spins on the clutch but I guess there must be enough resistance. I've got a new fan clutch comin so I'm assuming that will do the trick.

Have yet to touch the interior so it’s nothing to write home about. Here is how the truck sits currently. I need to reinstall the front lip and I think I’m going to go with shorter blocks in the rear to give it more of a rake. I’ll probably start working on it again in earnest this summer.

I vote for smaller tires up front to give you the rake.

I could just go taller in the rear I guess. I had smaller tires up front but it was killing my control arms and it was squirrely AF.

Printing a piece for the gap in the spoiler, also have roof bars that need to be installed. Also will be pulling front plate because I live in Portland and apparently those are optional. 0DC7EB9A-CFB4-4345-A0F0-5B637A4D4E7A.jpeg

I'm in the same boat as Jetas getting the front down is the better look then up. It can look good but on a full blown gasser. Right now it kind of looks like you have jap drift missile spec fitment.

previous setup was sketchy af, I spun it out twice and my control arm is on the way out. Once I burn these out maybe I’ll get a shorter tire but it drives way better than previous fitment. Jap drift missile sounds cool too.

What was sketchy about it? And what size tires are on the front?

It was either under steering or over steering there was no in-between. That was probably a combination of the stretched tire (165/50 over are 15x7), the worn out control arm and the rake. I would probably be fine if it was properly slammed but I still like to throw a half ton of shit in the bed from time to time and I don't feel like installing bags.

You try replacing the bushings and all that? Should only either over or under steer not both.

Yeah the bushings are indeed fucked. I’ll get to them this spring/summer.

Are your front wheels different offset than the rear?

The vibrant blue color is indeed eye-catching! Opting to keep the chrome is a classy choice, especially considering the rarity of finding well-maintained chrome accents. The cohesive look with the center caps on your wheels adds a touch of elegance, making your vehicle stand out with a unique and stylish combination.
