Just make sure your plug wires stay off of it. That's the only problem I've had but its easy to prevent.
I'm only doing 3".. I'm not going so far to have to notch, or want a notch:D 3" will look good and be perfect for who it's for.

I saw the gear ratios. Im mainly worried about if it will bolt up to an R series motor, or if it doesnt is there an easy way like swapping bell...
Some machine shops can pressure check your head for cracks and such. I know my machinist will and its like $30 or something close to that.
Would a w59 bolt up to my 20r? I can't find anything that says what they came on.. There's one for sale locally and it would be nice having a 5...

You definitely should take the pan off! Big chance you have crap clogging the pickup tube screen making it hard to pump oil through it
