    And my diff is welded.... It is an auto, but the mods we've done to it make the shift absolutely firm. Even so, I imagine the auto helps...

    And sure the 8" makes sense when you don't have to source 5 lug axle shafts and refabricate all of the 4 link brackets. The 7.5" is plenty...

    Both of those part numbers are listed as 4wd IFS carriers. The difference is the bearing ID size. Use the right bearings, and either will work....
