and what happened to the chrome roof rack? wagons cant not have roof racks. a saying i made for my ramcharger is "i dont care about shiny paint or fancy interiors. i just want to be low enough that a roof rack is cool" lol
supra wheels came in 14x6, 14x7, 15x6. 235 was the stock width for the 14x7. i plan on bagging the **** out of it, want to lay pinch welds with 16x7 chrome on chrome 60 spoke daytons. still got the roof rack, just nervous to drill holes
weird. i could have sworn they said 14x8 on the backside. was there a similar 4 spoke wheel from a different car, like the corolla rwds that spec? i should have taken a picture. did they come in that design in a 5 lug? stupid 78s are way narrow and hard to find cool tuckable wheels. especially ones not made by ford. haha. did that already.
a lot of people mistake startion wheels for celica wheels. hell i know people that mistake starions for 82-85 celica's. and if i remember correctly starions came in both 4 n 5 lugs with a ton of different sizes and widths, up to a 9in wide wheel i think. i really like my ford wheels, the unmarked center caps hide the blue oval stamp
Haha. I had chrome ovals on my caps. But I don't think they were the 5 spoke starions. Probably just were 7" wide. I don't think starion offset would work for me anyways. LOL
working on the supra brake swap car status at the moment is: dead alt - upcoming alt upgrade dripping radiator plug-fixed dripping oil plug-fixing zip tie throttle linkage needs to be metal or something and the whole front suspension is torn apart at the moment. did i mention the spindles from a 87 supra with 11.5in vented rotors and 5lug turns out the ball joint diameters are not as close as id hoped so im gonna hit up the parts store and see how much bigger a later truck balljoint is. i believe they mount the same, we'll find out. or ill attempt to use the stock ball joints, the lower (above left) looks pretty easy to mod to fit, but the upper is pressed and the arm is way wider then the corona arm heres some gratuitous comparison pics 9.5in for those counting at home. and a couple random pics of my stock suspension and a shot of a hilux spindle for comparison now i really cant wait to bag it, front looks easy to lay it on the ground, trim some and weld some, cake.
curtis- my mom made me home made coffe cake for my birthday last month. with butter cream coffee frosting standard- this motor is tire fryin A O K. jus a dead alt. the wheeler killed all 4 rod rod bearings and maybe some other crap toydatto- really? i got to peak at a 510 all naked, and i swear my celica front suspension is the same. are the wagons that close too? or do ya mean that the wagon looks like a hilux, cuz ya, pretty much the same $hit. no strut rod, and there is a built in 1in lift on the wagon spindles, which incidentally seem to have the same spacing as the supra spindles, and supposedly the supra spindles are a 1in drop for a truck (have to mount them upside down i guess). so i guess a corona spndle would be a viable option for hilux owners to get 4lug up front and a 1in spindle drop.
turns out im completely wrong about the swap, wont bolt up, but is possible with a lil fab im not willing to do atm. here's a catchup copy n paste from www.bodydrop.org
cin- was zipties, upgrading to bolts. bernie- there is nothing the same as a truck, ball joints have a much smaller shaft and taper, the upper does have the same bolt pattern tho, lower isnt even close and would require welding up the stock holes then plating it and re drilling. both arms are 100% different, tho it looks like it might be possible to put truck arms on the wagon, only about .5 in difference where the pivot bushing is, but on the wagon it has a bushing like a leaf spring pressed into the arm, more like the supra upper. i just wanted something quick n easy to put my 17's on, instead im gonna sell em to help fund other projects. dont have money for bags right now, and i dont want to build the arms twice.
