lost my mind there for moment ... I will EDIT that part out ... No, no red interior .. I will be going Grey . (brain fart) opps .. I guess I cant "edit it out" to late !! Thanks .... .
couple of things today .. got the seat belts installed / mocked up I do have to still plate the mouinting bolts on the floor , but I will do that when I have the cab off . also removed the air intake muffler , and made a pipe . this pipe diameter is 2.75" and seems no one in town has . .
continued with the floor mock up ... but first had to replace the seat tracks .... some one cut and welded the rails i'm going to re-do the seats anyway , so no biggie !! removing the seat back cover , lock strip and hog rings . and installing the new rails ... with the new rails , I now could line up the rail , and weld mounting bolts .. and zinc . aligned , and welded and seats ... BOLTED .
couple of more things .... buttoned up the heater control valve , and hoses including the rear heater piping ... also got the new fan installed .. I decided to take back the 14" 1500CFM in favor for the 16" .. 2500 CFM had to cut the lower support .. but no biggie .. made a new hood lock support , "boltable" just now waiting for the fan controller now .. :-/ (ordered a week ago ) .
How exactly did you mount that fan? Directly on the radiator, or did you make some custom mounts? I'm enjoying this thread... Keep up the b****en work bro!
hey 88, when u buy an electric fan kit they come with these plastic rods similiar to a zip ty but they work in a straight line. you just put the fan where you want it, slip the rods thru the fins they put on the little caps and cinch down.
so not much to add ... built the box for the body computer .. and I'm just awaiting my new fenders to check clearances .. I want to move out as far as I can to alow for inner kick panel clearance .. also got my new Optima battery and also just got to day for the wiring near the exhaust ... some heat tape
thanks guys .... I should have the fenders this weekend .. so I will hopefully be able to weld up the body computer box ..
so spent a few bucks today ... bought some shop tools and consumables , and some dollies . I wanted to put some tires and wheels on it , and the dollies will just make it that much more maneuverable .. so .. I put the shoes on for mock up (they dont fit quite right as they hit the calipers) and got it on the dollies .. also got the fiber fenders set on to check the body computer box clearance .. fits perfect , so now I can weld that .... so now I can push it around the shop .. I thought I would do a full body mock up ... hehehe .... enjoy .. I did
haha God, that's coming along nicely, you don't live up to your screen name "slacker" How much more is left to complete? Doesn't look like too much, am I right?
Extremely impressive build quality you have there.. wrapping your wires with this style loom is the only other thing I could ask for.
So what do you figure you spend per night or per week working on it? You seem to get a ****load done in such a short time!
