There is an oil galley plug on the passenger side hidden by the motor mount you can use to feed your gauge.

Do you have a picture of that? I have never seen anything like that in that area.

I don’t see that on mine. Only dip stick tube goes between that bracket.

It might only be a 22r and up thing. You should have 2 oil galleys to tap off of. If you have that puck looking thing you can see on the left hand side that will be your sender that you can switch out for you new one.

Took the starter out after work, and looked around the block for another oil port. Might be out of luck. I'm not seeing anything else aside from the one for OE sensor. Looks like I need to find a T fitting or oil filter sandwich adapter.

Got the fuel sending unit and the new pump installed. Had to cut the flange off of speedhut sending unit and drilled a couple holes to mount onto OE stem. Also finished wiring the gauges. Just have to wait for the oil psi sensor tee fitting and the adapter for the coolant temp sensor.

What fuel sending unit is that, I might have to change mine? Also what is the little knob you just installed in the middle for?

The fuel sending unit is from speedhut. It comes with 240-33 ohms resistor. The little knob is for adjusting brightness on the gauge illumination.

Fittings/adapters came in today. It was hard to find the adapter for two oil psi sensors with two different threads. The OE sensor is 1/8 BSPT and the Speedhut sensor is 1/8 NPT. Fortunately I found an adapter that has both threads from Glowshift gauges.

Also replaced the master cylinder and repaired the cracks on turn signal lever while I was waiting for the fittings. Wanted to replace the the power booster with MR2 booster that just laying around in my parts box. Didn't want to drill the firewall, so decided against it and reuse the original booster.

Great job on the turn signal crack repair. I had my booster rebuilt from this moms and pops place, they did a great job the breaks are awesome. What does 1/8 BSPT and 1/8 NPT mean?

Thanks man! BSPT and NPT are standard thread pitches for fittings. I think BSPT stands for British Standard Pipe (Tapered) and NPT is National Pipe Thread.

If @nottoshabi wouldn't shave mentioned it, I really would not be able to tell you repaired the Tsignal arm.. :applause: since it's missing the toyota badge I just assumed brand new replacement! Haha fooled me! Good work man.

It's the small details that make the bigger picture pop!

Put everything back together and tried to test the gauges. Found out the oil psi fitting is leaking. Thought I needed to tighten a bit more while installing it, but I wasn't able to get the last full turn without one of the pressure sender hitting the oil filter. Gonna have to take it back out and figure something out. Everything else seems to work except the turn signal indicators. They work with hazard light switch on, but not with the turn signal switch:shrug:

Anyways, so I decided to take a break from it and replaced the washer fluid/coolant overflow bottles since I had to drain the coolant to install the temp sensor. I figured it'd be a good time to replace these before filling up the radiator.

Ok. First the turn signal refurbish blew my mind, now the overflow bottles floored me. Where did you get those bottles and were you able to install the electrical fill sensor at the bottom?

I have been searching for those bottles for over 5 years. I have removed my windshield wipers completely but would like to get the over fill bottle for the radiator.

x2 where’d you find the replacement bottles? I got a universal washer but I need a new overflow

The turn signal lever looks good. I can appreciate it because mine’s missing the plastic entirely haha

Gauges look cool! Does the speedo really give you gps? Or that's just the mileage counter?
