I noticed the other night that when it gets hard to shift an I push in the clutch it feels like it's gonna die. Could it be the clutch master cylinder?
issues taking out the shifter.... im trying to take my shifter out now....but it wont go down very much when i push it and it wont turn counterclockwise at all its very hard it only goes down a few cm not very much im trying using a vise grip as well and thats not helping much either.
I have used needle nosed pliers to push it down and turn it by spreading them to both sides at once. I've also used a pair of flat tip screwdrivers with perfect success.
I had the same problem taking out my shifter too, wouldn't go down at all, turns out mine had 4 10mm bolts/skrews to remove then the shifter jus pulls sraight up from the tower.
If you have a round rubber boot at the base you have either the push & twist collar or an internal snap ring. If the boot I'd squarish you have bolts. I use the screwdrivers to push down at the corners of the collar and pry against the handle. Hard to explain, easy to do.
