wth are these

    I'm cleaning up my engine compartment a little and these two items have confused me I see the cable off the upper one runs threw my firewall and to the gas pedle and the vac hose and wires off the other one I cant see where the run to
    so my big question is what are these and what do they do and why are they there and can I get rid of them

    I agree with everyone else about the cruise control and if you dont want cruise control then yah you can get rid of it.

    Should have a control for it on the windshield wiper lever if its factory.

    I bet being that old at one time the wiper control module took a crap and the previous owner replaced it with a basic column or controler that didnt have the CC switch.

    well after looking a wire digrams and hunting on the internet I've came to the conclusion that I'm missing every thing but those two peices so I guess the cruz has to go

    You know looking at your photos, it appears to be an "aftermarket" setup. My factory cruise control switch is in the center console just above the coin tray. Should be a piece of cake removing this.
