ive got a sunpro tach laying here and i want to put it in my 74 hilux and dont know where to hook up the tach wire i can hook up the power and ground and light but where do i hook in the tach wire that usually goes to the dist on v8s ?

that site doesnt go back to 74 only to 78

 

its probably safe to say the 78 is very similar, same body right ?
actually, they should all be close to the same thing... where I plugged mine in was on the driver side inner fender... dont ask me what color wire it was, look it up, I beleive there is a plug for it that is just hanging out there in case you added a factory tach

 

ill look for one where was it ? under the hood on the wheel well or under the dash?

 

Should hook right to your coil signal wire
