Ok i know this is SIMPLE and ridiculous... but what is the "official" name of the rods in the tailgate that attach to the handle. Mine broke off at the handle and I want to replace them but can't find them. All I find are the handles and tailgates. Anywhere I can find them? Thanks!

 

I would guess that is a part that doesn't fail very often. Chances are good nobody sells a direct replacement part, so your options are limited to junk yards or perhaps making your own part?

 

If it's the long horizontal ones, it's a link. If it's the short vertical ones, its a rod.
