shaking engine

    just converted from power to manual steering, now my engine shakes bad. shakes even worse when i give it gas. anyone got any clues?

    Did you plug the vacuum ports for the power steering idle up valve?

    i did indeed, that was my first guess as well. i've got the day today to tonker, so i will see what i can find

    I would think vacuum leaks would make it shake at idle and lessen with more RPMS. Have you looked at the crank pulley to see if its bent or loose.

    Well, found it out when I tried to test the timing. The third spark plug wire got yanked, but the boot was still on, so it looked connected. Probably got caught by the PS hose when I pulled it out. thanks for the help though!

    had an issue like that too with some janky brand spark plug wires. thankfully my ngk ones dont move around inside the boot

    These were Denso, but it is odd because the #1 is kinda short, 2 and 3 are the same length, and #4 i have like 3 inches of slack.
    But until I upgrade my ignition system, I don't see a need for larger wires or anything too fancy.
