I have a 1976 Toyota pickup. 20r engine. Stock 4 speed manual. My tire size is 195 60 14. At 2900 rpm I'm going right at 45 mph. I'm wondering if anyone knows what the size of the gears are in the rear end? I was thinking about changing them for more of a highway useful gearing. I'm not really wanting to change the transmission if at all possible. Any help would be very helpful

most likely you've got 4.10's-it was by far the most popular ratio in the Toyota trucks. 4spd's don't have a OD 5th gear so highways get 'buzzy'. swap the trans for a W55 (85ish to 95 2wd pickups) or W58 if you want the true OD-be warned W58's (Celica's Cresida's Supra's) has a deep 5th gear, great if you go with smaller diameter tires.
