I am a huge fan of a stock truck slammed on factory wheels and I am in the process of stripping and painting my 14" 86' 2wd steelies for my base 86'. Just looking for some inspiration to get my truck rolling soon!!

Here's a couple pics of mine. 85 longbed, 14x6 stock steel wheels. 185/70 tires, rears are slightly larger (stupid discount tire).

It's a good 6/7 drop. Never pre measured. Front is DJM LCA, belltech spindle, BJ flip. Rear is Belltech drop leaf and streetaco blocks.

Mines currently a 3.5/3 drop, I have some 4" Streetaco blocks on the way(I think they're going to take a while to get here) I'm on stock 14s with 185/74R14 tires. I need to clearance the inner fender wells somehow, the tiny little wheels and tires I have on there rub at full lock...

Hang in there on those blocks! Mine took 8+ weeks. Yea, my stockers rub on the front also. Recalculating measurements for my new steel wheels after I found out they couldn't make them with the backspacing I needed to tuck them. Looking good!

Wierd... I never had a rubbing problem with stock wheels.. Maybe I wasn't low enough, I'm only at 3/3

I didn't start rubbing until I went past 4 on the front. It rubs a lot less now that the back end is level with the front.

It's the outer edge of the wheel that rubs, not the inner. So spacers would make it worse.

Holy crap! 8 weeks! I wish I would have known that before I ordered them...

Mine rubs on the inside, on the inner fender tubs, don't have spacers or money for them. Hopefully leveling it out will help. An alignment would probably make a difference as well as it is the tops of the tires that rub, is there anyway to get rid of negative camber on a '73?

I realized that mine is a bit older than the section this thread was posted in after I posted up, lol.

Yea, I was driving around all raked out for months. Took a while for me to get my measurements and actually order them. It looks SOOO much better know.
