I just bought an 86 2wd and the dash and park/running lights don't work. The guy I bought it from said it's the switch on the column that's bad but my headlights work. Has anyone hooked up the running lights to a toggle before? I tried searching but couldn'tfind a wiring diagram for it. I have head lights, brake lights, and signals. Thanks.

Odd how you have headlights, since they work off same switch. Did previous owner make any mods that might have involved lights?
    Do the hazards work?
Have you checked to see if your getting power to fuse? Both sides of fuse?

Haven't checked the fuses yet for power. The fuse isn't blown. Been waiting on a test light. Does anyone know what color the hot wire is for the running lights front and back?

How about hazards, do they work? While I do not know off hand which wire is the hot wire for the running lights you'll be able to figure that quickly once you have a test light. Understand non of this is a waste of time cause you'll need to find this out if all fails and end up making a switch for turn signals. Don't forget hand signals. Totally cool
