what size bolts go in the block to attach to an engine stand? 89 22RE. im at work and gonna hit the store on the way home i forgot to check yesterday... thanks
Yeah course.Use a bell housing to motor bolt to match. They have to be long though to go through the engine mount.
okay well i looked at 17MM bolts..... im gonna say you are wrong on that, even big block chevys dont use bolts that large on the bell housing, i am guessing you meant a 17mm hex on the head? which does me no good because depending on the style of head you will have a different size hex.... so allow me to ask again. what size is the "Actual" bolt.... as in thread diameter and pitch, not what size wrench do i need
What I meant was the 17mm bolts that mount the trans to the block.Use those to match your thread pattern and size. Those 4 holes are the same 4 holes that the engine stand would use right???Your head bolts are the perfect length and size so If you have 4 spare you can use those or use one as a sample at the nut and bolt store.
