That is a great looking truck you have there! Were you able to find a set of headers to clear your frame? I am currently using Hooker Blackheart block hugger headers, but I would like to find a set of long tube headers for easier exhaust install. I purchased a set of Hooker cast iron exhaust manifolds from Jeg's, but I returned then when the passenger side manifold exhaust flange was hitting the frame by the starter. I am having a hard time sending pictures to this forum for others doing a similar build. You can email me at [email protected] and I will send you photos of my truck. Thanks.
I kind of thought that would happen. Manifold hitting on passenger side. I will be using 2012 Camaro manifolds. If I run into that problem I’ll just offset the engine slightly to get the necessary clearance.
Yeah, I had to return the cast iron exhaust. I heard that a LS swap header set for a Chevy S-10 might fit my truck. I will check with some S-10 websites to see if that could be the ticket. Good luck with your build project.
Thank you, Erwin. I appreciate it. I have photos of some stages of the build but I did not know how to upload it on this site. Other builders just emailed me for my work on the truck and the build process.
Thanks Cory for the information. I have a set of LS block hugger headers on my engine right now and it works fine. I am running 2 1/4 inch exhaust tubing to a pair of flowmaster mufflers. I only needed to put a slight bend on one tube to clear the steering shaft but other than that, it works fine. I will look into those headers you mentioned. Thanks again.
